Covid-19 Vaccine - Guideline for Employment

The first shipment of the Pfizer vaccine is due to reach New Zealand by April and will be available to border staff and essential health workers in the first instance. Already there is a lot of talk around whether an employer has the ability to insist that employees are vaccinated against COVID-19.
Clubs New Zealand no longer able to accept payment by cheque

The demise of cheques has long been foreshadowed, last year ACC and Inland Revenue announced they would no longer be accepting cheques and now in 2021 many banks are moving to phase cheques out entirely.
Clubs New Zealand's bank is one of those to announce that the use of cheques as a payment method will be discontinued this year. As a result of this Clubs New Zealand will no longer be able to accept cheques as a form of payment from clubs.
Government Expands Small Loan Scheme

This week COVID-19 has edged its way back into the spotlight after a case was recorded in the community in Northland and two further cases have been identified in Auckland.
The latest updates suggest that these cases are linked to the border and that the virus was contracted from within managed isolation facilities. These cases are a stark reminder that we are operating during a global pandemic and that the situation can change within a matter of days.
Investing in Clubs Sports 2021

In 2018 the Clubs New Zealand Board made a commitment to invest in Clubs New Zealand Sport. Part of that investment has been in securing merchandise for participants, the continuation of prize draws and the ongoing review of Clubs New Zealand Sports.
Based on a review of feedback from host clubs and players we are going to implement some immediate changes to the Clubs New Zealand sports prize draws in 2021. These changes will be monitored throughout the year with a view to introduce a fully revamped Clubs Sport offering ready for 2022.

ASA releases new Alcohol Advertising and Promotion Code

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has announced it has adopted a new Alcohol Advertising and Promotion Code (the Code) following a scheduled review of the existing Code for Advertising and Promotion of Alcohol completed by the ASA Codes Committee (the Committee). The new Code is effective from 1 April 2021 for new alcohol advertising and promotion and 1 July 2021 for all alcohol advertising and promotion.
Clubs New Zealand 2021 Conference, AGM + EXPO - Activities and Partners Trips

The Clubs New Zealand 2021 Conference, AGM and EXPO is going to be packed with activities that will allow delegates and partners to experience Christchurch and its great clubs.
Friday 19th March will feature a club bus tour and race night that delegates and partners can add onto their conference experience. On Sunday 21st March, partners can leave the business end of the Conference & AGM to the delegates and tour Christchurch on the 2021 Partners Trip.
