Practical Information about complying with the Wage Subsidy Scheme
29 April 2020
Since first being introduced on 17 March 2020, the Wage Subsidy Scheme has successfully delivered over $10 billion dollars into the economy to support employers, employees and the self-employed. Over 500,000 applications have been received, and payments made in respect of over 1.6 million employees and self-employed workers. As many employers have already applied for the Wage Subsidy Scheme, the focus now turns to ensuring that employers are complying with the terms of the scheme; in particular being able to evidence the need for the subsidy and retention of employees on the payroll.
Greetings from Crusader Isolation

Well where did the last 4 weeks go and how quickly did this thing explode?
It has been interesting watching how various clubs have dealt with the situation we have found ourselves in. On the other hand no doubt we have had some clubs that have taken the opportunity to take a break and recharge the batteries, as we all know we work in a stressful business that has many potholes, and we have just gone through the biggest one yet.

Many of us now have the ability to perform a large number of our work tasks from the cloud, this has obvious benefits when we are on lock down and cannot get to our work PCs. Despite the cloud making it much easier to work from anywhere there will no doubt be files and programmes on your work PCs that you need to access during this lock down period.
