Clubs New Zealand is pleased to announce the appointment of Leigh Williams to the newly created role of Technical Manager.
Leigh brings with him a raft of experience and knowledge which includes Technical Service and Project Management, with most of his experience in IT, Point Of Sale and EFTPOS areas. He has worked closely with clubs and hospitality venues on their financial, membership database, gaming, and stocktaking systems, and has good knowledge into the workings of club management.
ERA Hiking Employee Awards

Recent Employment Relations Authority (ERA) cases have amply demonstrated the state of the nation with respect to employee awards for poor terminations.
Sacked for taking 'sickies' a Palmerston North roofer got awarded $20,000, $12,000 of which was for hurt and humiliation. The employer had also refused to attend the ERA hearing.

We would like to thank all clubs that participated in the recent 2019 Wage and Salary Survey and are pleased to announce that the Clubs New Zealand 2019 Wage and Salary Guide is now available for members to download in the resource room.
The 2019 Wage and Salary Survey was conducted as an online survey from 13th August 2019 through to 27th September 2019 for which we received a total of 157 responses.

The Upper Hutt Cosmopolitan Club is hosting the inaugural Clubs New Zealand Quiz Championship final on Saturday, November 16 with teams from up to 40 clubs expected to participate.
Believe It Or Not Sales & Marketing Manager Brendan Lockhead and Club’s New Zealand's South Island representative Keith Ballanatyne have been the driving forces behind the quiz series. Update on Cashless Gaming Work

For those clubs operating Class 4 Gaming, you will all be aware that back in June the DIA put out a call for expressions of interest from those wishing to be involved in a working group on cashless gaming.
Recently we received an update on the cashless gambling work, advising that based on feedback, the Department have decided to expand the scope of this work to consider gambling technologies more broadly.
