Back to Basics Managers Training
The Back to Basics Managers Training has been developed by Clubs New Zealand and is aimed at upskilling Managers who would like to improve their knowledge around compliance issues and obtain a detailed understanding of the various components clubs traditionally earn revenue from.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The course is aimed at anyone who is new to club management, moving into club management or even those who have years of experience and want to refresh their knowledge and skills.
WHAT DOES IT COVER?
The course provides numerous opportunities for discussion and to explore ideas, issues or questions participants have, some of the topics covered on the course include;
- Who is Clubs New Zealand and what we can assist with via our website or in person,
- Basic accounting requirements for your club – Audits, Gaming accounts, “KISS”,
- Legislation that effects your club - The Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, Incorporated Societies Act, Food Bill etc.,
- Gaming – best practices,
- Business Partners – making them work for your Club.
HOW LONG IS IT?
Two days - usually run over a Tuesday and Wednesday.

The cost of the two day course is $180.00 per person (plus accommodation and travel).
Clubs New Zealand can assist in securing special rates for accommodation and we will discuss this with you at the time of booking.
