Dunedin pair to pay $11,500 for breaching employment law

Two Dunedin restaurant employers have been ordered to pay $11,500 by the Employment Relations Authority (ERA).
Following a Labour Inspectorate investigation, Hai Ung and Vuochhuor Ung, who operate the South Dunedin Curry House, have been penalised for failing to keep accurate wage, time and leave records.

The annual update forms are online and come pre-populated based on the information we currently hold for your club. As always, we ask that once you receive the form you carefully check each section and make any necessary changes or additions prior to submitting.

Christmas and New Year Public Holiday Entitlements 2018/19

The Christmas and New Year period is fast approaching and no doubt if you haven't already you will be considering pulling those Christmas decorations out of storage and dusting off the Christmas Carol playlists. This year the Christmas and New Year public holidays fall on Tuesday 25 December, Wednesday 26 December, Tuesday 1 January and Wednesday 2 January meaning that the public holidays are observed on the day that they fall (there is no Mondayisation).
2018 Club Management Conference - Wrap Up

A strategic plan can be used to guide the committee and management in making those tricky board room decision, while also supporting the culture of the club from the committee through to front line staff.
A strategic plan will describe the direction for the club and the forces likely to change your club’s business in the immediate future. Strategic planning concerns anything that will bring results from 1 year to 5 years or beyond.

The Clubs New Zealand National Database Project and Mobile App are continuing to grow as more and more clubs and members are getting on board. We now have a number of clubs who are part the National Database and are actively promoting the app to their members, in addition to this we are receiving multiple requests every day from members wanting to sign into the app in order to access their digital membership card and find the clubs nearest them wherever their travels take them.
Below we will explore just a couple of ways the National Database and App can support your club, the club community as a whole, add value to your membership offering and how your club can get involved.
