Trespass Notices

There will be times when it is appropriate for clubs to issue trespass notices to members or guests. Trespass orders to fall outside of a clubs constitution and it is important that they are used with true cause and proper process.

The New Zealand Police no longer provide the bluey forms, however they do have a template trespass notice available for download on the Police website along with information on how to serve a trespass notice.

The advice from the Police National Headquarters is that you can put a club logo on the trespass notice, yet they recommend you do not change the wording, as it is what is on the trespass notice that matters.

It is also important that the correct procedure for serving the notice is followed or it could be ruled invalid if challenged.
