Harm Minimisation Training Update

At Clubs New Zealand we are committed to host responsibility and providing club committees, management and staff with the tools, resources and knowledge that enables them to build a culture of care.
Since the beginning of 2022 Clubs New Zealand has held 24 Harm Minimisation Training Courses which were attended by more than 148 Club Employees, and we are not done yet.

ClubPOS is now available and we are pleased to announce special introductory pricing for Clubs New Zealand members.
The hardware for ClubPOS includes a Windows All-In-One Touchscreen from Posiflex. These have proven to be very reliable touch screens, sold in New Zealand since the Windows XP days (and some of those are still in use with no repairs required to date). They are virtually maintenance free with no fans to suck in dust and crumbs, and an easily cleanable flat bezel-free screen.

In recent weeks we have been receiving a number of enquiries from both clubs and members regarding reciprocal rights. It is clear that some club employees do not understand the requirements of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 as it relates to reciprocal rights and there have been some embarrassing interactions that could have been avoided.
So with reciprocal visiting well and truly back in action now is a good time to revisit reciprocal rights.
Updated My Vaccine Pass available from 24 May for those who want it

From May 24, 2022 updated My Vaccine Passes will be available for anyone aged 12 and over who is up to date with their vaccinations for their age group and for the type of vaccine they have received, and this includes boosters for those over 18.
In early April 2022 the legal requirement for businesses to use My Vaccine Passes was removed. While it is understand that most hospitality businesses have removed the My Vaccine Pass Requirements, some may be voluntarily keeping the requirements as a condition of entry. Additionally some individuals may wish to ensure that their My Vaccine Pass is downloaded and up to date.

Incorporated Societies Act 2022 - Update
29 April 2022
The new Incorporated Societies Act 2022 was signed into law on 5 April 2022. The 2022 Act replaces the Incorporated Societies Act 1908.
It has been great to see some Clubs already looking to update their constitutions and get the ball rolling.
Unfortunately after a 114 year wait, we may have to just wait a bit more. The regulations that relate to the new bill have not yet been drafted or approved, as these will have an effect on what may be required within new constitutions we advise to just hold tight at this stage.
