Club Connect - Community Awareness Training - Hornby Club

Strong clubs are built on strong connections.

Community Awareness Training (CAT) helps participants recognise when someone may be struggling and provides practical tools to confidently check in, start a conversation, and connect people with appropriate support.

Whether it's a member who has become withdrawn, a colleague who seems overwhelmed, or a friend who is simply not themselves, CAT equips participants with the awareness and confidence to make a difference.

This training is designed specifically for New Zealand communities and supports clubs to continue their important role as welcoming, connected, and supportive community hubs.

Register 

Take the next step in building a stronger, more connected club community. Registration is free for Clubs New Zealand member clubs and includes Community Awareness Training and a light lunch following the session to allow you to network and keep the conversation going.

Club Staff, Committee members, volunteers and club members who are interested in supporting the wellbeing of others.

More About Club Connect

Club Connect is a community wellbeing initiative delivered by Clubs New Zealand in partnership with the Whatever with Wiggy Charitable Trust.

The initiative recognises the important role clubs play as community hubs where people come together, build connections, and support one another. Through practical training, resources, and conversations, Club Connect aims to strengthen the ability of clubs to support the wellbeing of their members, staff, volunteers, and the wider community.
