Position Overview:
The New Lynn RSA is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to take on the role of Secretary/Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and driven professional to help lead and grow our thriving club, fostering innovation and engagement within our community. As the manager of a club with 1,800 members, you will work closely with a dedicated team to ensure the continued success and development of our facilities and services.
Our club offers a wide range of amenities including two bars, a restaurant, snooker and pool tables, dartboards, and more. We also have a variety of sections catering to the diverse interests of our members, such as:
- Ladies Section
- Line Dancing
- Stroke Club
- Balance Group
- Pool
- Snooker
- Darts
- Indoor Bowls
- Petrol Heads
- Fishing
- Golf
- Friendship Section
- Texas Hold em Poker
In addition, we currently operate eighteen gaming machines, two TAB SSt machines, a sports bar, and a function room with a capacity for up to 300 people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the committee to develop and implement strategic plans for the club’s growth and sustainability.
- Lead marketing initiatives to drive membership growth and increase revenue.
- Oversee daily operations, including managing staff, contractors, and service providers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, particularly in relation to gaming, TAB operations, and the sale of liquor act.
- Maintain high standards of service and facility management to enhance member and guest experiences.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Strong business, financial, and hospitality management skills.
- Proven leadership and staff management capabilities, with an emphasis on HR functions.
- A current Manager's Certificate is essential.
- Previous experience in marketing and growing a business is highly desirable.
- A hands-on approach and a genuine passion for community engagement are key to success in this role.
