Manurewa Cosmopolitan Club Inc. is seeking applicants for the role of Club Manager / Secretary.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and results-driven Manager to lead a well-established Club with approximately 3,000 Members; located in South Auckland.
The Club offers a range of facilities, including a Bar, Café; Restaurant, Dance Floor; Darts; Indoor Bowls; Outdoor Bowling Rink(s); Snooker and 8-Ball tables, TAB (SST’s), 18 Gaming Machines and Function Areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Board in strategic planning and decision-making
- Ensure control over income and expenditure streams
- Lead marketing efforts to grow membership and revenue
- Oversee daily operations including Staff; Contractors and Service Providers
- Security of Club premises; assets; cash and information
- Staff recruitment; development and performance management
- Ensure high standards of service and facility management
- Manage Gaming operations and Supply and Sale of Liquor in compliance with all legislation and regulations
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong business, financial and hospitality management skills
- Effective Leadership; Staff Management and HR capabilities
- Current Manager’s Certificate for the purposes of the Sale and Supply of Liquor Act 2012 (essential)
- Eligible to be a “Key Person” for the purposes of the Gambling Act 2003
- Marketing experience to drive growth
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel; Word and Power Point)
- Accountancy & Payroll software - MYOB; XERO
This is a hands-on role that requires flexibility and a passion for community-focused hospitality.
Police Vetting and Reference checks will be conducted on short-listed candidates.
