About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Club Manager to lead the operations of Mangawhai Club Incorporated. This is a full-time position based in Mangawhai Heads, Northland. As Club Manager, you will be the driving force behind the club's success, overseeing all aspects of day-to-day operations, staff management, financial performance, and member satisfaction. This is a strategic role that requires exceptional leadership skills, hospitality expertise, and a passion for delivering outstanding service. You will be responsible for ensuring the club operates efficiently whilst maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and member experience.
Key responsibilities

Oversee all operational aspects of the club, including facilities management, maintenance, and health and safety compliance

Lead, recruit, train, and manage the club staff team to ensure exceptional service delivery and member satisfaction

Manage financial performance, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure the club remains profitable and financially sustainable

Develop and implement strategies to enhance member engagement, retention, and recruitment

Coordinate and organise events, activities, and entertainment programmes that appeal to club members

Manage vendor relationships, procurement, and supply chain activities to ensure quality and value for money

Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, licensing requirements, and industry regulations

Monitor and evaluate club performance against key performance indicators and member feedback

Liaise with the committee and members to understand needs and expectations, providing regular updates on club performance

Maintain and enhance the club's reputation within the community and local hospitality sector
What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Club Manager or in a similar hospitality management role, preferably within a members' club or similar organisation

Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

Excellent financial management capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management

Comprehensive knowledge of hospitality operations, including food and beverage, facilities management, and member services

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that drive growth and member satisfaction

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with members, staff, and stakeholders

Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements, including health and safety and licensing laws

Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure

Event management and entertainment coordination experience is highly desirable
