Incorporated Societies: Reminder to file financial statements before reregistering

The Incorporated Societies Registrar has noticed that some societies have reregistered under the 2022 act, before filing their financial statements under the 1908 Act.

Before you apply to reregister, please make sure that:

• All financial statements are up to date and filed under the 1908 act.
• Financial statements have been approved by your members at a general meeting.
• They are filed on time - by the end of the month following the meeting.

You can approve your financial statements at the same meeting where you approve your new constitution and other reregistration requirements, but you must file everything in the correct order , e.g. file the 1908 Act financial statements first and then apply to reregister your club.

Please note this doesn't apply to registered charities
