Circular 25-065

Relevant for Club Committees and Management

Your voice is crucial to addressing staff shortages and skills gaps in the club industry! You are invited to participate in the Club Industry Workforce and Skills Survey 2025 run by ClubsNSW in conjunction with Clubs Australia.

We would like your experience and insights to help us in understanding workforce challenges facing clubs across Australia and New Zealand.

This short survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete and has been designed to capture the experiences of clubs in recruiting, training and retaining staff.

(note where the survey uses RSA this stands for Responsible Service of Alcohol).

Why it Matters

Your responses will:

  • Provide Clubs Australia and Clubs New Zealand with the evidence needed to advocate for your club's needs.
  • Ensure your club's perspective is heard in various consultations
  • Ensure clubs’ needs, particularly in regional areas, are represented in policy decisions.

The survey will cover:

  • Workforce size, mix and tenure
  • Recruitment challenges and local solutions
  • Training investment, barriers and priority needs
  • Roles experiencing shortages
  • Use of skilled migration and future intentions
  • Supports or policy changes that would make the most difference.

How to Participate

Your insights are essential for ensuring the future success and sustainability of the entire club sector. If you have any questions please contact lucy@clubsnz.com

This circular will also be delivered via email to ensure that it is received by all clubs, we want to show our Aussie neighbours a great response rate.
