Simon is a Partner and head of the Employment team at Quigg Partners in Wellington. He was admitted to the Bar in 2008 and has over 15 years’ experience in all aspects of employment law. He advises a wide array of clients, from small businesses to multinational entities and public sector organisations. He regularly represents clients at mediation, and has appeared in the Employment Relations Authority, Employment Court, and both the District and High Courts.

REBECCA KINRAID

Rebecca is a communications specialist with more than fifteen years’ experience in both public relations and digital communications.

She has successfully managed the communications for large international corporates, managing brand awareness, promoting product launches, strategising social media campaigns, and raising media for events.

Rebecca’s speciality is digital and customer communications. 

A leader in this field, she creates and delivers clever communication strategies that are appropriate for small and large corporate clients.

Rebecca is a multi-award-winning public relations professional, and her work on the Hornby Club’s redevelopment received recognition at the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand’s national awards – receiving a highly commended.

Rebecca has a BA from the University of Canterbury with a double major in Mass Communications and Gender Studies. She is a member of PRINZ and has board experience on a not for profit.

Ben Gamboni, Deputy Director Operations at Te Tari Taiwhenua DIA. Previously a Portfolio Manager at Waka Kotahi working with the transport sector on system wide interventions to reduce harm. Part of the first cohort to graduate with a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Management as part of the Government Regulatory Practice Initiative.

Ben’s experience is rooted in the operational delivery of regulation and he has a passion for overcoming the challenges involved in policy implementation so that it improves the lives of individuals and the community is better off.

Ben has a team of gambling regulators who are responsible to ensure venues are meeting their legal obligation, we encourage a best practice approach to this.

We ensure compliance range of aspects under the Gambling Act however harm prevention and minimisation is our top priority.

 

PAUL ALLAN

Paul Allan takes an industry leading approach to community and team engagement. As the proud CEO of the largest member-based organisation in his hometown, Paul focuses his energy on creating connection between his team, members, guests, industry partners, and his much-loved community.

Ten years ago, Paul started a revolution, by way of the Club Taree Community Team. An engagement outlet for the staff of Club Taree to make a positive impact on their local community. The rest, as they say, is history.

Even Paul is humbled by the resulting impact, with the team celebrating their 10 Anniversary during 2024 by reaching the milestone of $1 million raised and while also contributing over 12,000 hours of volunteer labour to the Manning Valley community.

Club Taree is also the proud home of the iconic le Tour de Taree, alone having raised over $600,000 to support local families and the award-winning Club Taree Mental Health Trek initiative which focuses on individual and team growth whilst also improving mental health and wellbeing.

Club Taree is an honoured recipient of the RSL Associations “Spirit of ANZAC Award” and both Paul personally and Club Taree proud recipients of the prestigious ClubsNSW “Heart of the Community Award” Club Taree is the most decorated Community focused Club in regional NSW.

Beyond corporate responsibility, Paul’s focus is on building his team, offering opportunity for awesome, and establishing lasting legacies.

Change is again a brew in 2025 for the Club Taree Community Team albeit with a unique New Zealand connection.

As well offering insight into the engagement and achievements of one of Australia’s leading and most recognised teams within the Club Industry, Paul will share his outlook on building connected communities, creating well bonded teams, and promoting positive change within the club industry with a sense of purpose and authenticity.

CRAIG 'WIGGY' WIGGINS
