Gambling Host Harm Minimisation Training and Resources - Invitiation to attend train-the-trainer workshop for clubs

The Health Promotion Agency (HPA) have now finalised the Gamble Host Harm Minimisation training and resources and are looking forward to rolling this out over a number of train-the-trainer workshops.
These sessions are specifically designed to support those who provide harm minimisation training for venue staff. They will also be of interest to other individuals and organisations working across in the gambling sector, including Class 4 society staff, club managers, Class 4 venue managers (who provide training to their staff), and problem gambling service providers.
To roll out the new training materials to organisations and individuals who provide training to Class 4 venue staff, so they:
- Are confident at deliver the training package
- Understand how to adapt the training according to the needs and experience of the venue staff member being trained and other requirements (e.g. time available for training), and
- Are familiar with the whole package of resources produced for venues (including the Gamble Host pack and harm minimisation policy template) and how these form a comprehensive package of support for venues.

All sessions will be three hours long.

The Health Promotion Agency will be able to provide confirmation of venues and times in the next couple of weeks but wanted to ensure that you had these dates in your diaries so you can make necessary arrangements.
Cost to attend:
Attendance is free.
Individuals and organisations are responsible for any costs associated with attending sessions (flights, accommodation, parking etc.). Tea and coffee will be provided.
