ClubTAB Remuneration Model Changes
31 March 2021
The below memo from the TAB discusses the upcoming remuneration model changes. If you club is yet to receive a letter regarding the changes, it is not far away.
Given feedback received and after close liaison with Clubs NZ, TAB NZ have agreed to amend the ClubTAB remuneration model effective Monday 9 August 2021. These changes involve adjusting the ClubTAB remuneration model to make this consistent with that of TAB NZ’s remuneration model with PubTAB’s.
For the majority of ClubTAB venues this will be a positive change. The changes to the model will see consistency in the payment model across all TAB Pubs and Clubs with all TAB Clubs to now receive remuneration for bets placed through TAB terminals (currently over 50% of Clubs do not receive any form of TAB remuneration).
These changes will come into effect from Monday 9 August 2021 with the new ClubTAB remuneration model to be used for determining any changes in remuneration as a result of the annual remuneration assessment reviewing the period 1 August 2020 - 31 July 2021. Following this, future annual remuneration assessments and the timing of any remuneration changes as a result of those assessments will be based on the details contained within Schedule 2 ‘Remuneration and Agreement Details’ of your ‘Agreement Relating to ClubTAB for TAB Business’.
These changes should also be considered in light of our earlier advice that we are progressing towards the implementation of digital bet remuneration. Once implemented this will ensure that digital bets which are identified as being placed within your premise, will be treated as turnover and will be remunerated in line with this model.
In all other respects, your Agreement remains unchanged and continues in full force. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact your TAB Area Manager.
