Nicky Sinden

"Since she could hold a fishing rod Nicky has been obsessed with fishing. She has been at the helm of 'Ados Addicted to Fishing’ television show since 2013 when she became the first female to host a fishing show in Australasia.

Ados Addicted to Fishing very quickly became a popular fishing show and now has more than 100,000+ followers on FaceBook.

During a very special day on the water in March 2017, Nicky caught a 361kg Broadbill Swordfish and was awarded the ‘Ladies All Tackle International Game Fishing Association World Record' for the heaviest Broadbill ever caught by a female, exceeding the 65 year standing record by 17kgs. This also led to being awarded the NZ Sports Fishing Councils ‘Most Meritorious Catch, Old Man and The Sea Trophy’ for the 2017 Game Fishing Season.

Nicky is a qualified skipper through Maritime New Zealand and her 7.95m boat is in Survey.

Nicky's other passion is marketing with more than 15 years marketing background. Nicky specialises in helping businesses to create and implement “out of the box” marketing strategies including road shows around NZ, filming and producing videos for web, social and television.

Nicky has organised fishing tournaments and enjoys MC’ing and public speaking at events and functions. On top of this, Nicky also hosts international corporate fishing trips to tropical locations such as Vavau, Tonga and Niue"

With sports including fishing such an integral part of club we life we look forward to hearing Nicky's take on club sports and what we can do to boost their profile, reach and participation.
