2019 Managers Conference - Useful Information

6 August 2019

Club Managers Group Banner RGB

Greetings to all those attending this year’s conference in Sydney next week.

Below is a bit of a rundown on events and some useful information from Keith.  Keith will be on the ground with you in Sydney so feel free to plug his email and phone number into your contacts before you leave keith@clubsnz.com or 021 285 1841 – remember there are no stupid questions, so as always fire them in Keith’s direction!

We have 81 attending this year’s event (63 Management, 18 Partners), it will interesting to see how everyone handles being out of Sydney “Town” and in the suburbs!  If you have never been to Bankstown Sports be prepared for something special as it has numerous outlets for people to explore and enjoy and only a couple of blocks away is the Bankstown RSL that has recently undergone a $22 Million refit.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

On Arrival at Sydney airport you can choose from Taxi (between $50 -$70) , Uber or you can use public transport, train to town and then out to Bankstown, or Train to Revesby Station and then bus or taxi (we have been advised that the train from the airport is $14 on top of the normal fee) or if a few of you are arriving at the same time as others look up a shuttle service.  Check out the Club Managers Facebook Page before you leave as there is a post on there regarding sharing transport.

The Bankstown train station is a block and a half away from the Club and trains run regularly to and from Sydney Central (takes about 39mins and costs $3.16) this will be handy for those that get left behind or partners wanting to do different things.

SHOPPING

Why you would want to any of this I don’t know, but in case you do, it is walking distance to Bankstown central mall, also Liverpool & Paramatta Westfield shopping centres.  Fashion spree outlet central in Liverpool as well as the direct factory outlet centre in Homebush.
