While playing in the Clubs New Zealand 2009  National Darts Tournament hosted by the Taradale Club Bernie Smith from the New Brighton Club hit a possible 9 dart finish while playing in a singles event against Phil Hazel, this is a very unique occurrence especially with a double start.

Bernie started on 160 followed by 180 and finished on 161 triple 20, triple 17 and bulls eye.
